World famous computer maker Hewlett – Packard is so sure that its group of mobile products created by the former Palm team which is powered by the webOS operating system, sooner or later will win iPad market. A quote on The Daily Telegraph from HP’s European head Eric Cador stated that HP will soon become “number one plus”.
In the PC world, with fewer ways of differentiating HP’s products from our competitors, we became number one. In the tablet world we’re going to become better than number one. We call it number one plus.
Earlier in March HP’s senior vice said,
Apple is great if you’ve got a lot of money and live on an island
The device features a 9.7 inch display and includes Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core 1.2 GHz processor and both front- and rear-facing cameras. It is said to be launched in the UK with Sky, Last.fm and the Guardian as the leading app partners, Daily Telegraph reported.
But HP has to realize one thing. Competing with Apple is a big task. Just a few apps are not going to get the job done. HP has not announced the price of its new Touch Pad tablet yet. But an internal Wal-Mart document shows that 32GB TouchPad will cost $599.
