Home News iPad to Compete Kindle Fire with New Models

According to a recent report, Apple is planning to launch a new model iPad that can compete with Kindle Fire.

A recent report published in DigiTimes says Apple is planning to launch a lower cost iPad 2 to compete head-to-head against Amazon’s Kindle Fire. It expects a huge competition for iPad in 2012 as Microsoft and its manufacturing partners are preparing a series of tablets running the upcoming Windows 8, which will make a hard play for PC power users and businesses.

Dual-LED light bars are designed for the new iPads to strengthen the brightness of the panels, the sources added,” read the Dec. 29 report, citing unnamed supply-chain sources.

Apple is expected to release the next generation iPad on early 2012.
