A Taiwanese newspaper report claims that Apple could launch the new iPad on February 24.
According to this report that was published in Economic Daily News, Apple could launch iPad 3 on February 24, in commemoration of the birthday of Steve Jobs. This report further suggests that iPad 3 shipments could exceed four million units quoting sources close to five Taiwanese manufacturers. Apple is also expected to release two iPad 3 models.
Another report claims that Apple will unveil a lower price iPad to compete with Amazon’s Kindle Fire. These online rumors suggest that a smaller 8-inch screen, and a conventional 9.7-incher will be launched in the event. However, many are not convinced as Steve Jobs himself was completely against the smaller iPad idea.
Apple officials declined to comment on these reports as usual.
