Geo Photo Explorer for iPad developed by ArtPRO has got a cool feature for your iPad to plan your next vacation. The app is not a vacation planner, rather it is an photo explorer that explores pictures that are upload by users of Google Panoramio and Flickr through out the world. Unlike other photo explorer the app uses Google maps to display the images on the map. A useful tool to explore photos, believe me its an picture explorer.
iPad has a big screen and we all admit to the quality of the iPad screen. So let me talk me talk about what comes to my mind when I saw this app on my iPad.
The concept of this app was displaying photos based upon the geo location. This is an app to search for photos based upon any locations and to perform a search, and to search tap on the search button on the top right of the navigation bar. Using the search we can search by places and photos from a separate owner. The app uses Google Panoramio and Flickr services to bring up the images on the screen.
I should say the user interface was cool and informative with lots of features to look for. If you have any difficulty in playing around the app, just head to the help section on the sidebar to present you with a image tutorials. This is quite different from the rest of the iPad photo apps and all I can say about the UI is “neatly aligned for better understanding”.
Map integration was the best feature with this app, but there is lots more to say about the apps feature. To be more precise, I will list out some of the key features
- Full screen photo preview
- Grid and list mode of visualization
- Manage multiple galleries with favorites
- Photo search for saved in the History for future searches
- Tweet and save the photo to the photo library.
- Full screen and split view interface
The good news is the app doesn’t cost you even a single penny for make it your own and with so much of features, I think its a must try app for the iPad owner and specifically for the travelers.
